Patients with alcohol-related problems are often identified as malnourished with vitamin and mineral deficiencies. The nutritional care needs of this patient population are complex.
Researchers from the University of Wollongong and the University of NSW are investigating the approaches of nutritional care provided by health care professionals in the primary health network to help inform best practise approaches for patients who have been discharged from hospital post-alcohol withdrawal.
