The Hastings Macleay Primary Care Nurse Network meeting held on 29 August was a great evening that offered an opportunity for nurses to meet local nurses in an informal setting.
The Hastings Macleay meeting was attended by 37 local primary care nurses from various settings such as general practice, aged care and community health. This group came together to share knowledge, learn about their colleagues and enhance their understanding of primary health care. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive – many nurses requested more opportunities and more meetings.
The meeting was hosted by our Local Nurse Coordinator, Moira Maraun, and the discussions were led by local nurse practitioners on the topic of ‘Care of the Older Person’:
The next meeting in November will be promoted in our Practitioner Newsletter and weekly event listing emails. Please share this network with your contacts and networks.
