The North Coast Primary Care ‘Digital Discovery’ project survey has now closed. The project facilitated general practice and Aboriginal Medical Services to share their digital technology experience and help establish readiness for digital health advancements.
Digital health advancements in primary care are designed to improve operational and health system efficiencies and clinical outcomes. Last month, Healthy North Coast coordinated a primary care workforce digital health consultation.
With recent years seeing a pandemic and several natural disasters in the region, digital health technologies have come to the forefront through supporting the health workforce to continue service provision. With an ageing population and 1 in 2 Australians reported to have one or more chronic conditions, innovative models of care are needed to continue to meet the demand to provide timely access to quality care.
In partnership with our communities, health workforce and health system partners, Healthy North Coast is exploring new digital health strategies in primary care and residential aged care. This begins through consultation with general practice and Aboriginal Medical Services to hear about their digital health technology experiences and setup in their practices.
Feedback will provide insights on digital infrastructure across our region and inform the key priority areas in our digital health strategies to support you and your patients.
Thank you to all who paricipated, we were pleased to have around 50 general practices returning surveys, some iwth multiple staff completing.
