Quit Centre, a federally funded, national online resource for stopping smoking and vaping, has recently released new online training and resources specifically for primary health care nurses.
Quit Centre’s ‘Smoking Cessation Brief Advice Training for Primary Health Care Nurses’, developed in consultation with primary health care nurses, supports the development of knowledge and skills to confidently provide quit smoking care.
This training has been endorsed by the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) for CPD education.
Additional resources available at Quit Centre include clinical tools such as a practical guide on smoking cessation care for primary health care nurses, education and events with recorded webinars and podcasts, and easy access for referral to Quitline.
