By the end of 2018, every Australian will have a My Health Record unless they choose not to have one. My Health Record is a secure online summary of your health information. Healthcare providers can access timely information about patients such as shared health summaries, discharge summaries, prescription and dispense records, pathology reports and diagnostic imaging reports.
North Coast Primary Health Network (NCPHN) will be hosting a whole of North Coast region event for all health practitioners and practice staff.
Participants will be updated with the latest news from the Australian Digital Health Agency ((Josh Warlow and Dr John Aloizos AM) and NCPHN regarding the My Health Record Expansion. The session will explain what it means for healthcare providers during and after the three-month opt-out period commencing 16 July 2018.
The session will help you:
- Discover how My Health Record can save time and streamline your business.
- Understand how to best to respond to your patients’ requests to view and upload to their My Health Record.
- Learn how to respond to patients’ questions during the opt-out phase.
- Understand provider obligations for using My Health Record.
