The transition to a new community can be challenging, especially for those who dedicate their lives to caring for others. That’s where The Welcome Experience comes in.
We’re a free, locally delivered service funded by the NSW Government, and we’re here to help essential workers and their families settle into regional life. We believe that a supported start leads to a sustainable, long-term commitment. By partnering with us, you can give your new team members the resources they need to thrive, both at work and in their new community.
How we help
Our goal is to make the relocation process as smooth as possible. We offer personalised support to make new employees feel informed, connected, and truly at home. Our services include:
- Relocation support: We help new workers navigate the housing market, find a place to live, and settle in.
- Local orientation: We provide essential information on schools, childcare, public transport, and other important services.
- Community connection: We introduce new residents to local groups, activities, and opportunities to meet people with shared interests.
- Ongoing wellbeing: We provide regular check-ins to ensure new team members feel supported long after their first day.
Who we support
The Welcome Experience is available to a wide range of essential workers who make the move to regional living. This includes both government employees and non-government workers in key industries.
Whether your new hire is coming from across the state, interstate, or overseas, we’re here to help them land well and stay long-term.

Let us be an extension of your onboarding process. The Welcome Experience is designed to complement the fantastic work you’re already doing, giving your new staff a more connected start in our region.
