Strive for 5
The National Vaccine Storage Guidelines Strive for 5 3rd edition is now available.
‘Strive for 5’ refers to 5 degrees Celsius (°C) – the midway point between +2°C and +8°C which is the temperature range recommended for vaccine storage. Many vaccines are damaged or destroyed at temperatures outside this range.
This resource provides up-to-date information about safe vaccine storage and key recommendations for effective vaccine storage management, including new supporting resources for immunisation providers.
Hard copies of the Strive for 5 booklet and supporting resources are currently being mailed to immunisation providers. Additional copies will be available for download or order at www.health.gov.au/immunisation after 19 July 2019.
