The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) is asking health professionals to provide them with feedback on their online education packages as part of a review into its online professional development.
Many GPs and allied health professionals will have received educational packages from the DVA on topics relevant to veterans such as wound care, osteoporosis, mental health, etc.
The review is taking place following a Senate inquiry into suicide by veterans and ex-service personnel. The inquiry heard that health professionals often felt under-skilled or unable to work with these members of the community.
As part of the review an online survey of health providers is being undertaken.
All medical and allied health providers can take part in the survey regardless of whether or not they have completed DVA online training programs or are treating veterans.
The survey, which will take five minutes to complete, is available at:

The survey will remain open until 21 September 2018.
