It’s been a big year for the Mid and North Coast HealthPathways team, which completed 143 pathway reviews to the end of November and has another 74 in progress.
This puts Mid and North Coast HealthPathways at the forefront of New South Wales’ 13 primary health networks for pathways reviewed in 2022.
The Mid and North Coast team has also localised 706 clinical and referral pathways to-date, maximising the pathways’ relevancy for local health professionals.
HealthPathways Clinical Editor Dr Sarah Mollard said of the top 10 page views, six were COVID-related.
‘HealthPathways strives to be an up-to-date, trusted resource for health professionals to use at the point of care,’ Dr Mollard said.
‘We can update important changes to pathways rapidly so that clinicians have the latest information on assessment, management and referral at their fingertips.
‘In 2022, the most views by far were for COVID-19 Management, with more than 7,200. This was followed by COVID-19 Referrals with 2,175 page views, and the general COVID-19 page, which has had nearly 2,160 views.’
She said other popular pathways were Medical; Antenatal Care – Routine; and Local Specialist and Health Services.
Additional highlights included:
- 317,887 pageviews from 1 July 2021 to 31 October 2022
- 388 partial pathway revisions in the past 16 months (many due to COVID-19 updates)
- 95,145 sessions from 1 July 2021 to 31 October 2022 (a session is the time a user is actively engaged on the HealthPathways website).
