Hastings Macleay – Community Diabetes Education (DE) service will have reduced capacity

Due to unexpected staffing issues the Mid North Coast Local Health District Hastings Macleay – Community Diabetes Education (DE) service will have reduced capacity, likely until the second week in December 2023.

Hastings area:

All referrals will go via the Port Macquarie Community Health clinic and will have up to x 3 days per week booking availability: Mondays, Tuesdays, ad hoc Thursdays, with limited capacity on Fridays for High Risk Foot Service.

There will be no service available at Wauchope Community Health or Camden Haven Health One at this stage (previously fortnightly).

Macleay area:

Kempsey Community Health will have Diabetes Education capacity on Wednesdays and Thursdays with a monthly service to South West Rocks.

The Local Health District has done everything within it’s power to continue a service for diabetes clients and request patience and understanding during this period.
