Grants of up to $150,000 are available to community and not-for-profit organisations to deliver activities and programs to support the wellbeing of children and young people in the Northern Rivers impacted by the 2022 floods.
The grants are available under the Youth Participation fund, part of the Resilient Kids program being delivered by Social Futures and funded by Healthy North Coast through a grant provided by the Australian Government (National Emergency Management Agency).
There are grants available, ranging from $75,000 to $150,000, for group activities or programs for the following priority groups:
- Children and young people with a disability, with a focus on neurodivergent young people and young people with an intellectual or cognitive disability
- Children and young people disengaged from school or education
- Non-binary and transgender children and young people
