General practices and GP providers will experience a delay in receiving the September 2025 quarter GPACI payments, with payments anticipated by the end of November 2025.
This delay is due to a need to adjust back-end processes to enable proper assessment of payments in light of the new eligibility rules, namely the removal of the exclusion period.
Under previous servicing requirements, a provider that did not meet the 2 care planning services by the end of the 12-month assessment period, then subsequently did not provide a care planning service in the first quarter of the next 12-month assessment period, was ineligible for GPACI payments for that patient for the remainder of the patient’s new 12-month period.
This exclusion period has now been removed. Responsible providers and practice will remain eligible for assessment and incentive payments in the subsequent quarterly assessment periods as long as servicing requirements are met.

The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing has sent emails to practices and providers through PRODA accounts, however for any enquiries on this program contact our Healthy Living and Aging team via the Healthy North Coast contact page.
