Healthy North Coast is proud to announce the LGBTQ+ Inclusive Practice for Trans and Gender Diverse learning series for GP & primary care professionals, developed in partnership with ACON, is now live and open for registrations.
Patients with diverse genders and sexualities come from every culture and background. Their experiences often differ from the broader population, requiring thoughtful, informed approaches to communication and care. Trans and Gender Diverse (TGD) people bring rich diversity to our communities yet often face unique barriers in healthcare.
Healthy North Coast has been working closely with ACON to develop this 3-part training series that equips GPs and primary care professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide safe, respectful, and affirming care.
Delivered in two concise webinars and a practical, in-person workshop, the program builds from foundational LGBTQ+ concepts to the specific needs of TGD patients, with a focus on inclusive practice in clinical settings.
Participants will hear from community voices and subject matter experts, explore real-world scenarios, and leave with actionable strategies to improve patient experiences and health outcomes.
Learning outcomes
