The Department of Veteran Affairs is funding a capped number of fully-funded training licences to nurses and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health care workers who have patients in the Coordinated Veterans’ Care (CVD) Program.
There are still some training courses available for practice nurses and other care coordinators through the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) to support the delivery of the best possible care to veterans in the program.
The program is conducted in a GP setting and covers two online learning modules:
- Chronic disease management (2 hours)
- Care planning (3 hours).
Care coordinators need to apply before 21 June 2022 to access a training licence for free, however the modules can be completed at any time and at your own pace.
Certificates of completion are provided. Optional reflection templates are available for recording Continuing Professional Development hours.
Register via the APNA website today.
