Following the recent NSW free influenza vaccination program (implemented 1 June and extended until 17 July), NSW Health has released a reimbursement form for GPs to claim the cost of privately purchased 2022 influenza vaccines.
The NSW universal free influenza vaccination program was introduced to complement the National Immunisation Program and make influenza vaccines available to everyone over 6 months of age in NSW. Under the program, general practices were able to use their privately purchased influenza stock and seek remuneration for the purchase cost from NSW Health.
Reimbursement requests for the cost of privately purchased 2022 influenza vaccines that have been administered between 1 June and 17 July 2022 can be submitted using the universal influenza vaccination program reimbursement form. Please ensure that a copy of your vaccine purchase invoice is attached to the form to support the reimbursement cost claim.
The form is only to be used by GPs to claim the cost of privately purchased 2022 influenza vaccines administered during the NSW Health universal free flu vaccination program from 1 June to 17 July 2022.
Completed form and relevant attached invoices may be sent to [email protected] by COB Friday 26 August 2022.
