National Immunisation Program (NIP) vaccinations can now be administered off-site in certain locations under the National Immunisation Program Vaccinations in Pharmacy (NIPVIP) Program.
Under the NIPVIP Program, participating pharmacies will receive a payment of $18.85 for each National Immunisation Program (NIP) vaccine administered.
To receive the payment, patients must be aged 5 years and above, and the vaccines must be administered in:
- pharmacy settings, or
- residential aged care and disability homes.
The NIPVIP Program aims to strengthen community immunity against vaccine-preventable diseases by improving access and removing cost barriers for patients.
