The Buttery will be running its Community Rehab (CORE) program in Tweed Heads from 7 May 2018. Do you have clients who could benefit from the treatment services on offer?
The Buttery is a not-for-profit rehab organisation based near Bangalow in NSW specialising in the treatment of alcohol and other drugs misuse, problem gambling and mental health issues.
CORE is a non-residential, mid-intensity rehab program run in local communities over a six-week period. It targets people over 18 years of age who:
After Lismore and Byron Bay saw some 35 people receiving treatment over the six-week duration of their programs, The Buttery is now preparing to run CORE in Tweed Heads for the first time. The Buttery has been in touch with other providers around the area to set up effective cross referrals and treatment pathways. This will avoid duplicating services and ensure that clients receive the best treatment for their needs.
For more information on CORE, and to discover how this program could benefit your patients with substance misuse problems, contact coordinator Tanya Magnay on 0477 016 030 or visit: https://www.buttery.org.au
Funding for CORE is provided through the North Coast Primary Health Network by the Australian Government Department of Health under the Commonwealth Non-Government Organisations Treatment Grant Program.
