Successful Dying to Know Day events hosted by Healthy North Coast were held in August at RFBI Bellingen Masonic Village, Anglican Hall Kempsey, and Crowley Care Ballina.
The Dying to Know Day (8 August 2024) public health campaign aims to raise awareness about death and end-of-life planning. This year, the focus was on personalising final arrangements and building community support, helping Australians feel empowered and supported in their end-of-life wishes.
With over 100 attendees, the events were filled with insightful discussions and valuable information about end-of-life planning, with support provided by representatives from NSW Trustee and Guardian and Mid North Coast and Northern NSW Local Health District specialist palliative care teams.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made these events a success! Let’s continue to break the taboo and have open conversations about death and dying.
“It is so stressful for families when the conversations haven’t been had.”
“Excellent information – I’ll be sharing this with my friends, my family and my water aerobics group.”
