The Community Carers & Responders (CCR) Network builds grassroots disaster resilience by training and linking volunteer leaders.
Participate in over five free training days covering self-care, disaster skills, community-building, emergency communications, and food-water-energy security, plus certified first-aid and psychological first-aid participants gain practical know-how and a starter kit.
Graduates are then supported to run their own local resilience project and are continually invited to workshops, field trips and community events, ensuring peer support and building social connections. The result is better-connected neighbourhoods that are prepared for, and able to respond to, crises, strengthening wellbeing, coordination and confidence across the region. This program by Plan C is possible thanks to funding from Healthy North Coast.
