The ‘One Million Skin Checks’ study is investigating how two technologies may help Australian GPs manage their one million skin cancer-related consultations every year.
The technologies are teledermatology and artificial intelligence – using a smartphone and a dermatoscope. The study examines the feasibility of using these in a general practice setting.
If you would like to express your interest in participating, please read the information sheet and return the expression of interest form to Dr James Koutsis, Co-ordinating Principal Investigator.
Participating practices will receive an upfront payment of $500 per practice after the first patient is enrolled into the study and then a pro-rata enrolment fee of $50 per lesion up to a maximum of 30 lesions.
A MoleScope II mobile dermatoscope which attaches directly to a smartphone will also be provided.
