The Buttery Private is a social enterprise of The Buttery, a not-for-profit organisation that has been helping people with alcohol and other drugs misuse and mental health issues for nearly 50 years.
The Buttery Private is offering an evidence-based program for people experiencing:
- mental ill-health
- depression
- anxiety
- drug addiction
- alcohol addiction and other addiction
- trauma
- PTSD
- behavioural dependencies
- gambling issues.
The four-week intensive residential program is highly customised for each participant, with a maximum of 7 participants. Following a detailed phone assessment, a customised program is designed to address specific needs. This includes setting defined goals and desired outcomes.
The program incorporates:
- individual and group counselling, psycho-education, daily practice of gentle exercise, regenerative nutrition and sleep hygiene
- the principles of CBT, compassion-focused therapy, schema therapy, mindfulness and exposure therapy
- a 3-month aftercare plan by phone/Zoom to assist participants in applying learnings from the residential component
- evidence-based current research on the neuroscience of stress responses, anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioural and substance addictions.
As well as regular one-on-one counselling with a dedicated counsellor and group sessions, participants can choose from a range of other therapies including yoga, meditation, mindfulness training, exercise, massage, Pilates, a spa circuit and nutrition.
