BreastScreen NSW’s mobile unit
Proposed dates and locations of BreastScreen NSW’s mobile unit are now available for the first quarter of 2018.
Six weeks before: BreastScreen will send your practice materials, posters, etc.
Request a list of your patients who have had a BreastScreen mammogram. Please contact Meg Baker at [email protected] for more information (please allow two weeks for the list to be sent).
Four weeks before: Use your list and your practice software to identify the patients due for screening (this includes women who have never screened – BreastScreen is not reminding these women).
Two weeks before: BreastScreen starts taking appointments two weeks before the bus arrives – this is the time to start your reminding patients!
Why are aren’t specific dates for the bus available until two weeks prior?
BreastScreen deliberately uses approximate dates when advertising the arrival of the mobile unit on posters, because the schedule is subject to change for the following reasons:
