The Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) is establishing a First Nations Nursing Advisory Group, and they are looking for First Nations nurses, their employers and stakeholders to join them.
They are currently seeking up to eight representatives from various First Nations nursing communities across different regions and settings. These representatives, along with key personnel from APNA, will play a crucial role in shaping programs and ensuring they meet the needs of First Nations nurses.
The Advisory Group will:
- provide advice on materials and initiatives to boost First Nations nurse participation in APNA programs
- strengthen the voice of First Nations nurses in APNA activities
- ensure culturally appropriate and safe program content
- generate new ideas and initiatives to foster participation and engagement of First Nations nurses in APNA programs.
This is a paid position with meetings held online four to six times a year.
