Primary care nurses working in general practice are invited to take part in an online survey exploring their perceptions of their current and potential antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) role.
Nurses interested in participating should have worked in general practice for at least 12 months.
The survey is part of research being undertaken by the National Centre for Antimicrobial Stewardship and the University of Melbourne.
AMS involves activities to encourage safe use of antimicrobials such as antibiotics, antiviral, and antifungal medicines. These activities improve patient safety and reduce unwanted effects associated with antimicrobial use, including the problem of antimicrobial resistance.
