On Tuesday 29 October, Healthy North Coast hosted an engaging and practical webinar focused on the aged care reform and what it means for primary care providers.
With the new Aged Care Act having come into effect on 1 November 2025, we brought together a panel of experts to provide insights that would help health professionals on the way to navigating the changes.
The session was well attended, and feedback from participants highlighted a clearer understanding of the new Aged Care Act and the key changes relevant to everyday practice.
The coming months will bring new questions, learnings and conversations as we all adjust to this ‘once in a generation’ reform. If you’re unsure what the reforms mean for your practice, this webinar is a great place to start.
Learning highlights:
- Understand why aged care in Australia is changing — and what it means for your role as a health professional
- Learn what services are available under My Aged Care and who can access them
- Get a clear overview of the new Aged Care Act and the standards you’ll need to meet
- Know how to identify patients who may need support and how to refer them
- Explore your role as a clinician in supporting older people
- Feel more confident and equipped to work within the new aged care system
This webinar recording is highly recommended for GPs, health professionals and anyone working in primary care.  To support you further, we’ve also provided a range of resources, including a printable A4 flyer, available on our website.
