For the past twenty years, Ability Advocacy has held an annual “get together” on the North Coast for people with disability. It’s a fun, interactive and informative weekend that teaches self-advocacy and allows for networking with others with disability. The event aims to empower consumers to build personal capacity, be included in the community, achieve personal goals and live an active and healthy lifestyle.
This year’s event will be held on 14-17 September 2018 at Lake Ainsworth Sports & Recreation Centre in Lennox Head. The cost is $500 and includes linen, food, accommodation and facilities. All people with disability and their carers are welcome.

- Movie night.
- Activities include: beach cricket, canoeing, archery, beach walks, tennis, swimming, rock climbing and basketball.
- Information sessions on advocacy and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
