Acne Connect is a new and innovative telemedicine dermatology service
designed exclusively for the management of acne. It offers convenient, high-quality dermatologist care with a number of advantages, tailored to meet the needs of patients.
Key features:
- Dermatologist consultation (telemedicine): delivering the same high standard of care you would expect from an in-person consultation.
- Early access: Patients will be offered an appointment within 2 weeks of receipt of referral.
- After-hours appointments: Appointments offered on weekdays and weekends, minimising disruption of school and work commitments.
- Nurse Case Manager: Each patient is paired with a dedicated Nurse Case Manager, offering an additional layer of care, along with exceptional support and communication between appointments.
- Accessibility: Patients from anywhere in Australia can be seen via an online teleconsultation, avoiding travel to in-person appointments from rural locations.
- Exclusive access to skincare: Each patient will receive a complimentary general skin care sample pack, with products from several leading brands, sent directly to their house.
- Education: Founder and dermatologist Dr Alex Coe is embarking on a 12-month face-to-face educational tour across regional and rural Australia, starting in January 2025. His mission is to visit at least 50 high schools, 50 general practices, and 50 pharmacies over 50 weeks, in an effort to promote the importance of sun safety during adolescence along with the benefits of effective general skincare, and to empower GP specialists and pharmacists to better manage cases of mild-to-moderate acne when dermatologist input isn’t needed.
- Ease of referral: Patients can book online and attach their referral to the pre-appointment questionnaire. Alternatively, referrals can be sent directly to them via Medical Objects.
