Measles Alert NSW Health has issued a measles alert for general practitioners. There have been 52 measles cases notified so far this year, compared to just 19 cases last year. Australia has experienced an increase in reported measles cases in 2019, associated with a 300% increase in cases globally, confirming the need to protect against the disease through vaccination. NSW Health has declared an early start to the influenza season after detecting a steep rise in influenza activity.
