The 2019-20 bushfires had a devastating impact around Kyogle and in parts of the Clarence Valley. The small communities of Tabulam and Drake as well as the Upper Clarence were extremely hard hit, losing more than 200 homes. Drake was one of the first places to experience the catastrophic fires.
Container of Dreams is facilitating a 10-part workshop series on tiny house building. These are intended to offer participants practical building lessons and help those who lost their homes in the fires.
These workshops are designed to empower the participants and to give them the confidence and practical skills they need to participate in the rebuilding of their homes and lives.
This grant was funded through the North Coast PHN Program and the Australian Government’s ‘Supporting Communities in Bushfire Recovery’ initiative.
