The Life Tree: Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Training Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aims to create a network of community ‘gatekeepers’ by providing information, training and supervision.
Community gatekeepers are able to identify people at risk of suicide and provide an appropriate first line response.
The program focus on the training and support of influential members of the Aboriginal community who will pass on their knowledge within their communities.
While this training will be conducted across the entire NCPHN footprint, the focus will be within the Clarence Valley.
