VR GP needed for our GP-owned and operated clinic in Pottsville, gorgeous beachside village in far northern NSW 30km south of the Queensland border. As a contractor, your hours of work are decided by you, service fee 30% + GST. This is an unrivalled lifestyle location. There is a growing community of young families, as well as a long-established retired cohort in these parts. Nearest airports are Coolangatta to the north, Ballina to the south.
There is interesting medicine here, and plenty of opportunity for those with sub-specialty interests e.g skin, paediatrics, geriatrics, gynaecology, etc. We have a brand new public hospital being built at Kingscliff (15km away) with a wide range of non-GP specialists on staff. There is also an excellent private hospital just over the border – John Flynn Hospital (surgical assisting opportunities available here).
Our practice has operated within this community for the past 23 years, has odern decor and equipement and a large window in every consultation room for natural light and sea-breezes. We use Best Practice clinical software, and Automed for bookings, reminders and recalls. We are a mixed-billing practice (BB all children to end of Primary School, DVA and persons aged 80 yrs and over), AGPAL accredited. We have a full-time acute-care nurse, part-time chronic care nurse and practice manager for our 5 room clinic. We are co-located with NSW Community Health, thus facilitating access to a huge range of allied health services for our patients. We operate on weekdays 8:30am to 5pm. No weekends nor after-hours.
