A group education session for individuals newly diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus provides guidance to help participants better understand and manage the condition.
Led by a Diabetes Educator and Dietitian, the session covers key topics such as blood glucose monitoring, medication management, physical activity, healthy eating and dietary adjustments, risk factors and preventing complications.
Participants have the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and learn practical strategies for daily diabetes care in a supportive group setting.
Groups are held monthly at the Coffs Harbour Health Campus and quarterly at Nambucca and Woolgoolga.
