The Senior Manager – Workforce is a registered clinician with expertise in delivering education and training to health care professionals. They are passionate about driving improvements to health outcomes through person-centred care and are committed to supporting primary health care professionals stay, thrive and deliver high quality health services in rural communities. They are an advocate of interdisciplinary learning approaches and driving integration through team-based models of care.
Responsibilities and functions of the role:
• Lead and manage Healthy North Coast’s education program ‘Healthy North Coast Workforce’ for primary health care professionals; inclusive of supporting the design and delivery of face to face and online clinical society meetings and regional professional development events.
• Act as a workforce subject matter expert in the areas of education and training, workforce development, and primary health care workforce demand and supply.
• Supervise a team of educators and event managers and collaborate with other Healthy North Coast staff to deliver on portfolio priorities.
• Participate at a senior manager level within Healthy North Coast in the decision-making and management processes concerning workforce strategy, operations and resource allocation.
• Build strategic partnerships and alliances with primary health care professionals, local health districts, workforce and training organisations.
• Embrace innovative models of learning via technology, adult learning principles and interdisciplinary models of care.
• Convene planning and consultation processes in partnership with communities and clinicians to better understand workforce needs and priorities.
• Oversee the planning, management and evaluation of workforce commissioning activities.
