Currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse for a permanent part-time role supporting the manager of the Earworx Clinic at Park Beach Family Practice.
Working predominantly independently, the Earworx nurse is to deliver a high standard of customer service at all times whilst performing professional ear wax removal using safe and effective micro-suction technology.
The successful applicant would be required to undertake training placement prior to the commencement of this role. Fullerton Health will fund all training and travel related costs including but not limited to airfares and accommodation.
The role is permanent part-time – 2 days per week to start, increasing to 4 days, as required per clinic bookings and coverage of leave for Earworx Nurse working 4.5 days.
Monday to Friday shifts, around 15 hours per week with an increase.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe removal of earwax in strict accordance with the Earworx operational policies and procedures using a dry and effective micro-suction technology.
- Communicate effectively with patients and other health care professionals (General Practitioners, Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists, and Audiologists) in accordance with appropriate operating procedures where applicable.
- Ensure at all times the highest level of customer service via optimal communication, presentation and professional expertise.
- Recognise and uphold the rights of all patients and candidates accessing services, including maintaining cultural sensitivity.
- Manage allocated administrative and service tasks ensure concise and accurate documentation of all relevant findings, and ensuring timeframes and schedules are adhered to.
- Ensure equipment is well maintained for safe and accurate use, e.g. calibration of equipment, expiration dates.
- Comply with privacy and confidentiality principles to all work practices including the Fullerton Health Australia policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Current unrestricted nursing registration with AHPRA
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualifications
- Ability to multi- task, time manage and work effectively in a busy environment
- Ability to work autonomously
- Intermediates to advanced computer abilities
- Exceptional customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to best practice, ethical behaviour and conduct
