Set in idyllic sub-tropical Byron Bay, The Health Lodge Integrated Medical Centre is an established and modern private practice with 12 consulting rooms supporting 16 staff comprising GPs, Allied and Complementary Health professionals. The clinic offers the best of mainstream and complementary medicine and patient-focused care.
Working from a platform of functional medicine, the Practice’s integrative GPs combine biochemistry, nutrition and herbalism to synergistically create a comprehensive framework to ensure patients receive an individualised, detailed and adaptable approach to their health and healing.
The Health Lodge is seeking to recruit an experienced Practice Manager to join its dedicated and highly-skilled team who are passionate about improving the lives of patients in the region. Working in a high volume and fast-paced environment, the role involves reporting to and working collaboratively with the Clinical Directors to:
- Plan, organise and manage the administrative side of the practice.
- Have an exceptional understanding of the services offered and the interest areas of the practitioners.
- Manage and lead the practice staff and provide hands-on support as needed;
- liaise with external providers and patients.
- Problem-solve proactively and improve and generate clinical practices and procedures and quality systems.
- Manage all front-of-house functions (reception protocols – patient flow process, bookings, billings, enquiries).
The ideal applicant will have:
- A genuine interest in health, patient-focused outcome driven care, and the integrative model of health care.
- Significant experience in a similar role in a high-volume multi-modality clinic.
- A collaborative approach to working and engaging with staff across all levels as well as with patients and external providers.
- Outstanding time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage, trouble-shoot and prioritise multiple tasks with flexibility and ease.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
- Strong efficiencies with the latest clinical software and all Microsoft Office suites and a willingness to embrace and identify new software, clinical processes and medical and system developments.
- Experience and knowledge of the Medicare and private health systems, including rebate allowances and processes.
- Experience and knowledge of NDIS, WorkCover, insurance, external payer systems and clinical accounts receivables.
- Enthusiasm and be a team player with the ability to work autonomously.
