The opportunity
We are currently looking for a permanent full-time pharmacist to join our oncology team at Epic Pharmacy in Lismore NSW. The role will be centrally based at Epic Pharmacy Lismore St Vincent’s Private Hospital, with occasional travel to our Tweed Heads South location. Travel allowance will be provided for those applicants who reside in the Gold Coast area.
Under the guidance of our existing team you will undertake training in the area of oncology and work collaboratively with the broader clinical team to deliver optimum patient-centred care.
In this role, you’ll:
- Develop and apply clinical knowledge in the speciality of oncology
- Apply your existing pharmacist skills in prescription checking, dispensing, and patient education
- Conduct medication history reviews, clinical checks of chemotherapy treatment plans and discharge summaries at transfers of care
- Educate and advise staff and counsel patients on chemotherapy treatments
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
- Ensure compliance with legislation and contractual obligations
- Participate in the provision of clinical trials
- Be willing to train in aseptic compounding

Eligibility requirements:
- Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
- Current AHPRA registration
