Prema House Medical Centre is looking for a Medical Receptionist who can provide coverage at both their Tintenbar and Lismore medical practices. Our vision is to keep our patients healthy and happy, offer high-quality medical support and health services. We have a small team at both sites yet we are dynamic, energetic and have a common purpose in giving our patients exceptional service.
We are looking for an experienced, energetic, mature, enthusiastic, and warm person who is a team player. Must have an eye for detail, be organised with a proven ability to multi-task on demand. You will be performing receptionist duties whilst being respectful, confident, trustworthy, committed and caring. Ability to establish great working relationships with doctors and team members. Must have a strong ability to listen, manage and exceed patients’ expectations
This is a casual position and salary will be in line with candidates’ experience.
The Medical Receptionist will report directly to the Practice Manager and will be responsible for patient relationships, administrative and reception duties which will include:
- general administration and reception duties
- greeting patients in a warm and friendly manner
- taking an interest in patients as individuals
- responding to telephone calls and emails efficiently
- filing, faxing, emailing and photocopying
- maintaining medical records
- billings and invoices
- managing appointments and communicating relevant information to patients, GPs and other health professionals
- end-of-day reconciliations
- maintaining high team and office energy.
Successful applicants must:
- have previous receptionist experience
- have ability to multi-tasking on demand
- be willing to go beyond and above the call of duty
- be passionate about patients and serving them
- be accountable and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- be a strong team player
- have the ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team environment
- have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- supportive of doctors and their administrative needs
- be presentable and approachable
- have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- have the ability to be proactive in problem solving
- perform at an elite level consistently
- manage schedules and people.
It is important that the successful candidate be experienced in using Best Practice or Medical Director.
