The centre is beautifully designed with the latest technology and owned by a well-known local GP who is dedicated and committed to the Byron Bay community. This practice has been open approximately 1.5 years.
The practice requires a medical receptionist who has at least 2+ years in general practice. The centre will be open 5 days per week.
The centre offers general practice services and referrals for medicinal cannabis and has been opened since early 2020. Another receptionist is required due to expansion and moving into larger premises.
Skills and experience required
• 2+ years general medical practice experience
• Medical software experience – Best Practice desirable
• Resume demonstrating stable work history including general practice experience
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Contribution to team requirements
• Must be able to multi skill
• Accreditation experience desirable or willing to learn
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of triage
• Ability to comfort patients and anticipate their anxieties or questions
• Must be friendly and want to work in a team environment
• Proactive and “can do” attitude”
• Confident making administration decisions
Desirable
• Experience in recalls, reminders and health assessments bookings
• Managing doctors’ appointment books and foresee problems
