Flynns Beach Medical Centre is a highly respected family practice in Port Macquarie. They are seeking a Lead Nurse to join their team following the recent retirement of a long term Nurse Team Leader.

The Lead Nurse responsibilities include:
• Providing clinical advice and leadership to the nursing team.
• Oversight/delegation of nursing team responsibilities such as:  stock control and ordering, cold chain management, sterilisation, infection control and environmental cleaning, etc.
• Responsibility for staff engaged in a nurse led clinic and implementation of chronic disease management program.
• Participation in quality improvement activities.
• Human resource management including: rosters, induction and training and performance reviews.
• Providing input into preparation  for practice accreditation.
• Participation in the practice leadership team, providing input on strategic and operational issues to ensure the smooth running and ongoing development of the practice.
The role has a clinical component requiring skills in immunisations, triage, wound care, health assessments and other duties common to the general practice setting.
The successful applicant will be a flexible team player, have very strong communication skills and proven capacity to provide leadership in a busy and growing practice, which has a commitment to high standards of patient care and service.
AHPRA registration, RN qualifications and eligibility to work in Australia are essential.
This position is offered on a permanent basis and part time hours of at least three days per week will be considered.
