The Lismore Women’s Health and Resource Centre (LWHRC) is seeking an experienced counsellor to provide a quality, short to medium term therapeutic counselling service for women impacted by complex trauma.
The counsellor is required to use a trauma-informed, strengths-based and client-centred model of care to facilitate the inclusion of women in their own health and wellbeing, particularly those who are marginalised and disadvantaged.
This is a SCHADS Award Level 5 permanent part-time position (21 hours per week), with the pay point to be negotiated depending on qualifications and experience.
The LWHRC considers being a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under s31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
