The LUMOS project is a partnership between NSW Primary Health Networks and the NSW Ministry of Health to link data across primary, ambulatory and acute care.
LUMOS sheds light on the patient journey to create actionable insights about our health system.
For more information, watch Healthy North Coast’s LUMOS Information Session presented by Adrian Power, Senior Collaboration and Technical Lead for LUMOS, NSW Health (recorded 7 December 2021).
The LUMOS project securely links encoded data from general practices to other health data in NSW, for example hospital and emergency department data. This is done under strict data governance processes in a partnership between Primary Health Networks and the NSW Ministry of Health.
When aggregated, LUMOS data demonstrates the patient journey through primary and secondary care.
