Breakfast at the Oaks Centre
The Oaks Centre is currently being developed into a vibrant community hub in North Casino, led by Momentum Collective. The Centre will run a wide range of community programs as well as a community garden, and health and nutrition education from mid-2019.
Healthy Towns is supporting programs and activities at the Community Kitchen at the Oaks Centre. A student breakfast program will commence two days per week on Monday 18 and Wednesday 20 March. The program will run throughout the school term. Service will start at 7:30am and be done and dusted by 8:30am.

Casino parkrun
Planning for Casino parkrun is well and truly off and running! Healthy Towns has worked with the Northern New South Wales Local Health District to support the establishment of parkrun in Casino. We have also made a contribution to the establishment costs.
Local event directors have been nominated and the route has been finalised in a series of walkthroughs. Stay tuned for the start date!
