The Department of Health is undertaking a review of the Practice Incentives Program Indigenous Health Incentive (PIP IHI). This review aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the PIP IHI to support general practices to provide culturally appropriate health care to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people with a chronic disease.
The Department has released a consultation paper to inform discussion and invite input from organisations and individuals in order to understand how the PIP IHI works on the ground for clinics, clinicians and consumers. Feedback will be considered to help identify gaps and barriers in the current PIP IHI and consider options to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the PIP IHI.
The consultation paper can be accessed here. You are invited to share your views in no more than 10 pages by 10 June 2019.
