From 1 November 2019, a suite of 64 new Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) items will be introduced to support evidence-based care for eligible patients experiencing an eating disorder.
The changes include 34 new items for dietetic and mental health services provided by allied health professionals to patients with anorexia nervosa and other eligible eating disorders. Details are available at MBS Online. Item explanatory notes are also available.
