Does it concern you that atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias are of increasing prevalence in the community?
As a GP, Dr Kam Wong is concerned to know that there are asymptomatic patients who are undiagnosed and untreated – and they have higher risk of morbidity and mortality. This concern has prompted Dr Wong to pursue a PhD around this subject.
Through the University of Sydney, Dr Wong is exploring the views of GPs and GP registrars on the following questions:
- Should GPs screen asymptomatic patients?
- What is the role of mobile ECG devices?
- What is GPs’ need for ECG interpretation training?
The University of Sydney is conducting a 5-minute survey to learn more about these questions. Three $50 giftcards will be given away in a lucky draw to participants who completed the survey. (If you first hear about this survey via PHN, please indicate so.)
