Dr Patrick Kelly and Dr Michael Jones
Patrick Kelly and Michael Jones both graduated from their Optometry degrees last century. They have spent the vast majority of their careers in independent regional practice, and have worked together at RJK Optometry for 15 years.
As therapeutically endorsed optometrists, their practice in Coffs Harbour sees patients with acute ophthalmic presentations in patients of all ages. They co-manage chronic conditions, like glaucoma, with both local, and not-so-local ophthalmologists. Specialty contact lenses, dry eye treatment, paediatric eye care and personalised optical lens prescription are features of their day-to-day practice.

Leanne is a lifelong learner and has completed a Master’s in Clinical Nursing and Teaching, a Graduate Diploma in Emergency Nursing; a Graduate Diploma in Alcohol and Drug Studies, A Family Planning Certificate, a Graduate Certificate in Asthma Education and a Graduate Certificate in Medical and Forensic Management of Adult Sexual Assault.
Leanne has been an Advanced Life Support Instructor Level 2 for 10 years and an instructor for trauma nursing programs. Leanne’s passion is educating nurses to enable them to work at the top of their licence and within their scope of practice. In Leanne’s spare time, she enjoys being in the outdoors and spending time with my family.

Nathan O’Connor
Nathan O’Connor is an experienced musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist working in private practice on the Coffs Coast. His experience spans over a decade working in private clinics and professional sports settings, managing a wide range of athletes and acute injuries, and acting as Clinical Services Manager for Mid North Coast Allied Health. He has worked directly with many sporting organisations to provide onsite sports coverage, including a number of years as part of the medical team at the Gold Coast Suns AFL club, as well as exposure to a wide range of injuries in private practice across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Coffs Coast. His presentation will focus on the key concepts of acute injury management, with particular emphasis on how to identify the need for appropriate referral to other health professionals.

Dr Nicola Homes & Angie Brae
Dr Nicola Holmes: After growing up in Coffs Harbour and studying medicine at the University of Newcastle, Nicola completed her General Practice training in 2000 with the highest mark in NSW. She has practiced in Coffs Harbour since then including 10 years in adolescent mental health at Headspace Coffs Harbour. She has completed level 2 focussed psychological strategies training. She also has a passion for teaching and worked with North Coast GP Training for 10 years training GP registrars. She continues in her educator role working for the Black Dog Institute delivering workshops on mental health skills for GPs and psychologists as well as giving regular presentations to parents of local primary schools on how to nurture children’s mental health and wellbeing.
Angeline Brae: Angeline is a Gestalt therapist, child sand play therapist, family constellation facilitator, experiential psychotherapist, and credentialed mental health nurse. She has a Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, Post Graduate Diploma in Gestalt therapy, and is qualified in Experiential Psychotherapy.
Angeline works in private practice and delivers services from the Innovation Hub at Southern Cross University Campus in Coffs Harbour. She has 25 years’ experience working within the therapeutic field of children’s mental health and in supporting parents, carers and families. Angeline is also experienced in working with adolescents and adults.
Angeline is currently working with a multidisciplinary team to develop a parenting program, a child program and a relationship play program. She offers clinical supervision to other professionals using an integrative model and she enjoys teaching at the University on mental health nursing and counselling skills.

Dr Sarah Mollard, BMed, MPHTM, FRACGP & Ben McLellan, Healthy Ageing Coordinator, MNCLHD
Dr Sarah Mollard is a GP practicing in Port Macquarie and the lead clinical editor for Mid and North Coast HealthPathways. The HealthPathways team works to help clinicians ensure their patients receive the right care, in the right place at the right time, as the trusted source of local clinical, referral and health systems information, and by driving local health system improvements through collaborative partnerships between primary and tertiary care.
When not at work, Sarah spends her time camping with her family, gardening in her food forest, and volunteering with local environmental and climate change groups.
Ben McLellan is the Healthy Ageing Coordinator in the Mid North Coast Local Health District Health Promotion team, with over five years’ experience in the field. He holds a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science. Ben specialises in facilitating the delivery of healthy lifestyle and falls prevention programs for older adults, including program managing the Stepping On program and promoting the Active and Healthy website. Ben is also the Coffs Clinical Network Lead for promoting NSW Health’s Get Healthy Service to clinical and community services. Ben is currently conducting a needs assessment for older adults and is actively seeking clinician collaboration and insights to enhance the health outcomes of older adults living on the Mid North Coast.

Dr Austin May
Dr Austin May is a Cardiologist who was born in Coffs Harbour and completed his medical training at the University of NSW, graduating with Honours in 2010. Dr May underwent specialty training in Cardiology at Gosford and St Vincent’s Hospitals, conferring Fellowship to the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2017.
Dr May undertook a further two years of subspecialty training at John Hunter Hospital, qualifying as an Interventional Cardiologist and Cardiac Devices Specialist as set by the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. Dr May is also internationally recognised as a Certified Cardiac Devices Specialist with the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners. Dr May is nationally certified as a specialist in CT coronary angiography.

Dr Matthew Broadhead
Dr Matthew Broadhead is a Fellowship-trained Australian Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the treatment of disorders of the hip and knee. Dr Broadhead graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2006 and completed his training in Orthopaedic Surgery at hospitals in Australia and the U.S.A to become a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He is also a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA).

Dr Amanda Tutti
Amanda is a Physiotherapist with over 17 years experience working in clinical practice and health service management across the public and private sectors. For the last 5 years Amanda has worked in an advanced scope clinical role providing early assessment and screening clinics for patients referred for orthopaedic specialist review of hip and knee arthritis and back pain. Amanda is a part time senior research officer with the University of Sydney. Amanda’s research interests include examining ways to improve the communication skills and confidence of clinicians to more effectively integrate lifestyle management into the care of people with chronic musculoskeletal conditions and improve patient outcomes.

Leann Bryant
Leanne Bryant is a registered nurse of 33 years with an extensive and varied background in the areas of critical care, education and women’s health. She currently works in Emergency and Women’s Health.
Leanne is a lifelong learner and has completed a Master’s in Clinical Nursing and Teaching, a Graduate Diploma in Emergency Nursing; a Graduate Diploma in Alcohol and Drug Studies, A Family Planning Certificate, a Graduate Certificate in Asthma Education and a Graduate Certificate in Medical and Forensic Management of Adult Sexual Assault. Leanne has been an Advanced Life Support Instructor Level 2 for 10 years and an instructor for trauma nursing programs.
Leanne’s passion is educating nurses to enable them to work at the top of their licence and within their scope of practice. In Leanne’s spare time, she enjoys being in the outdoors and spending time with my family.

Dr Ashlea Broomfield
Dr Ashlea Broomfield is a GP with a special interest in Psychological Medicine a Credentialed Mental Health Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC-MH) and psychosexual therapist. In her clinical practice she works with people who have issues relating to food, sex or their bodies. Dr Broomfield has a passion for medical education and is involved in the supervision and education of GP trainees. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise in a way that is engaging and easy to understand for clinicians.
