The NSW Government now requires any student who is unwell or who has flu-like symptoms to be tested for COVID-19. A return to school is dependent upon a negative test result being reported.
HSC students have been added to the list of people whose COVID-19 tests should be prioritised for public health purposes.
This comes in response to feedback that HSC students have been reluctant to seek testing due to concerns over the waiting time for results. It is hoped this will encourage more HSC students to seek early testing.
This will remain in place through to the end of the final exam period in mid-November.
