Lifeline Northern Rivers is offering a Support After Suicide group in Lismore. The service will run from late September to mid-December 2017.
The group aims to help people bereaved by suicide work through grief, manage emotions and better cope with everyday life. This will be an understanding, safe and confidential environment. It is often felt that only someone who has gone through a similar experience can understand the depth of emotions felt by family and friends.
There will be a trained facilitator with significant experience in working with groups of this kind, supported by another trained counsellor.
The group will meet on Saturday mornings at Lifeline’s Conway St. Counselling Centre in Lismore.
These workshops have received financial support from Lismore City Council’s Community Grants Program.
