The National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS), in partnership with The University of Sydney, has launched a new Sharing Knowledge About Immunisation (SKAI) website for parents.
The site provides a communication system and suite of resources for healthcare workers and parents/carers designed to support conversations about childhood vaccination.
The SKAI parent site contains information about:
- Vaccines included on the National Immunisation Program.
- The recommended schedule.
- Answers frequently asked questions from parents.
In the coming months, SKAI will launch more resources including printable resources for parents in Arabic, Simplified Chinese and Vietnamese. A healthcare worker website accompanied by an e-learning module will also be launched. These resources will assist health professionals with effective conversations that will ultimately encourage parents to vaccinate.
To hear more from SKAI, subscribe to the NCIRS Weekly Jab Newsletter.
