Regional Development Australia Northern Rivers and Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast are seeking input for the North Coast Skill Audit survey. The North Coast Skill Audit seeks to identify where there are shortages in skills across the North Coast.
Regional Development Australia is aware there are shortages of skilled staff and professionals within the region’s health sector. They need your help to gather accurate data to address these shortages.
A vibrant economy is based on businesses having the right skills at the right time.
Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast (RDAMNC) and Regional Development Australia Northern Rivers (RDANR) would like your assistance to identify what types of skill shortages exist across the North Coast region.
The North Coast Skill Audit follows on from the successful 2017 skill audit conducted by RDAMNC and seeks to broaden picture of shortages across the region.
Results from the 2018 audit showed that 50% of respondents indicated skill levels were currently unfulfilled across all sectors on the Mid North Coast region.
Key findings also revealed impacts on the future of business, and these included the need for a workforce that had the ability to use technology effectively, to innovate, and to respond to customer needs.
Another important recommendation from the 2017 audit was the need for collaboration with education and training providers, to address the future education and training needs of each industry sector.
RDAMNC Director Kerry Grace said, “RDAMNC conducted the skills audit in 2017 and the results have been very useful for training companies, all levels of government and our own planning processes. We look forward to partnering with RDA Northern Rivers to deliver this year’s skills audit and get a better picture of skills across the region.”
The partnership between RDAMNC and RDANR will provide the necessary data to support our efforts to provide greater opportunities to address skills shortages across our region.
